Bad MLS Photos – Why can’t my house sell?

Posted by on August 28, 2011 in Real Estate Resources | 0 comments

It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog about Bad MLS Photos. Here are several photos that may give you a few laughs and make you wonder how they represent a house in the best possible light.

If you come across a bad MLS photo, let me know and it may be featured on this blog in the future. Email your name and a link to blog@metrobrokers.com. If you know the city where the listing is located and/or the MLS number, please include it.

Feel free to make up your own captions in the comments below.

Beware of dog – Hard to believe this photo is on a $13.5 million listing. Only 5 of the 16 photos are of the actual house.

From the “Go Away” sign on the wall to the stain on the floor, and the mirror emphasizing the clutter in the corner…There are too many things to mention. The magic eight ball on the window sill probably reads “Looks doubtful” in terms of potential buyers.

Heads up! It’s a high quality photo, but some people may find it creepy to be in a room with that many dead animals and wonder will I make it out alive?

If you can’t take the clutter, get out of the kitchen!

No mushrooms needed – Potential buyers may get paranoid and think they’re on a bad trip.

The only thing missing is the coffin.

Four! Is this the “grandma’s house theme” hole on the miniature golf course or is it an actual dining room?

I don’t know about the vanity…all I’m looking at is the man in the mirror!

One of these things just doesn’t belong. I wonder what the pole is for?

Enter at your own risk. Maybe they could have taken a photo of the home’s good “side”.
