Must-Have Mobile Real Estate Apps

I attended a real estate technology conference recently and sat in on a presentation about mobile real estate tools and resources by Chris Smith from Tech Savvy Agent. He shared several really good apps that can help sales associates streamline their business.

Here’s a few of the apps that I thought you’d find most helpful. Leave a comment and let me know which apps help you be a more efficient real estate agent.

Evernote – Remember everything a client shares. Evernote saves your ideas, things you like, notes, favorite webpages, snapshots of listings and more.
Cost: A “free” version is available with ads or pay a little to have an ad-free version.
Apps: iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android, Blackberry, Palm Pre, Palm Pixi and Windows Mobile

Slydial – If you don’t have time to have a lengthy conversation and you want to go straight to voicemail, use this app. Slydial is a service that bypasses a live answer and connects you directly to someone’s voicemail.

iTeleport – Access your PC files while on the go. This app lets you control your computer from your phone or iPad. It’s really helpful when accessing MLSs.
Cost: One time fee of $24.99
Apps: iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

360 Panorama (Photaf on Android) – Create 360 degree panoramas in seconds and instantly share on Facebook and Twitter. This is great for taking photos of the neighborhood or area surrounding a listing and sharing with clients.
Cost: $1.99 for iPhone/iPad and $3.99 for Android
Apps: iPhone, iPad, Android

Dropbox – This is an easy way to store, sync and share files online using cloud computing.
Cost: Basic account with 2GB of space is free. More space is available for additional costs
Apps: iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry

Dragon Mobile Apps – Don’t text/email and drive. This voice recognition app allows you to speak and instantly see your SMS, email or social networking updates without having to type. There are slightly different applications depending on the type of phone you use.
Cost: Free for iPhone and Blackberry, $4.99 for Android
Apps: Apple users (Dragon Dictation app), Android users (Flex T9 app) and Blackberry users (Dragon for E-Mail app)

Hootsuite – A social media dashboard. Compose posts on the go, monitor keywords, manage multiple accounts, track results, schedule updates, monitor mentions, and more with Hootsuite.
